American Robin nest!!

Hey everyone,

I got a report of a Robin nest (thanks Deb) a few days ago with one egg in it. I took a visit to it today and it had 3 little eggs barley visible through the cracks of the deck. Here it is:

I expect that this will be the usual clutch of four as incubation was on and off today. There could possibly be 6 but most often 4 is the magic number. Incubation should last 11-14 days. Nestling should be out of the nest by 14-16 days of age. Young may be cared for by the male while the female build new nest for second brood.

I will be visiting the site every 3 to 4 days I'll keep everyone posted on the nest happenings.

Thanks for reading,
