The Robins nest I posted about a while ago now has four eggs in it. On my visit this Tuesday the nest was unattended. I waited close by and nothing came back. Hopefully everything is okay and we see chicks soon.
Speaking of chicks I got a report of a nest on the ground with four chicks in it. I figured Dark-eyed Junco and that's what it was. The chicks are on their 9th day now and should be leaving the nest sometime this week. Typically they leave the nest at 10-13 days of age.

Our box in the yard now has three eggs in it! I'm expecting one or two more eggs perhaps three.

Also one of our boxes out in the bush, which was perhaps an Eastern Bluebird, is another Tree Swallow pair. On our way to Timmins on May long we stopped to check the box and sure enough it had feathers in it. Today I returned and there was one egg in it.
